Acanthus montanus - Hard to find tropical “bear’s breeches”

This always draws attention from visitors! My son used to call this the dinosaur plant and that’s a pretty good description for it. It’s an upright plant with stiff leaves dotted with sharp spines. It prefers warmer temperatures and moisture. I think it’s great for the center of a big combo planter for the summer in dappled shade.


You will receive a plant just like the plant pictured. They are growing in 2.5 INCH POTS.

There are heat packs available in my store that are highly recommended during the winter season. I am in a cold area so I can’t guarantee live delivery without one. When purchasing multiple plants, one heat pack is needed per 4 plants.
